Certification is the recognition (the issuing of written assurance (the certificate)) by an independent external body of the compliance of a product, a service, or a process to ISO standards or to a referential recognized officially.
The certification gives contractors and the public the assurance that a product, a service or a process is in line with quality requirement determined.
